About the Role
Become part of a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store dedicated to delivering health, beauty, and convenience services within your community, while keeping customers as the central focus of all activities.
Responsibilities
- Support the Front Store Manager (FSM) in overseeing the store's human, physical, and financial resources to meet store goals.
- Optimize product movement from the backroom to the sales floor to enhance overall store operations.
- Maintain store standards to enrich the customer experience, increase foot traffic, and boost profitability.
- Collaborate with the management team to enforce store standards consistently throughout the store, including backroom areas.
- Assist in managing labor scheduling alongside the FSM, utilizing Work Force Management tools to improve labor efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to run store operations smoothly.
- Compliance with Human Resources policies and standards.
- Participate in the hiring process for all departments except Pharmacy in partnership with FSM.
- Administer wage management in line with company guidelines.
- Promote company culture and values, engaging and motivating staff through leadership based on core principles.
Qualifications
- Proficient planning, judgment, and decisiveness skills to manage inventory and control expenses effectively.
- Provide leadership and continuous mentoring to staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Strong time management with the ability to prioritize rapidly amidst changing demands.
- Well-developed organizational and planning capabilities.
- Prior retail management experience is essential.
- Ability to lead by example, drive business objectives, and implement corporate initiatives.
- Effective collaboration with the management team.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
- Broad business insight and financial understanding.
- Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners.

Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $18.85 to $21.85, adjusted depending on experience and geographic location. This role fills an existing vacancy. Artificial intelligence is utilized in the screening and selection process.
