Job description
Overview
The Department of Education and Training in Darwin is seeking an Assistant Director Workforce Strategy to lead and manage strategic workforce planning and continuous improvement efforts within the Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services unit. This role focuses on enhancing workforce sustainability, capability, and performance through governance and data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic workforce planning and governance to ensure a future-ready, skilled multidisciplinary workforce.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to workforce sustainability and capability development.
- Provide leadership in workforce analytics, reporting, and planning to support recruitment, retention, and capability enhancement strategies.
- Support effective service delivery and improved educational outcomes for students through workforce strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
This position is classified as Senior Administrative Officer 1 and requires extensive experience in workforce strategy, planning, and leadership within an educational or similar environment.

The total remuneration package ranges from AUD 160,413 to 178,993, which includes a base salary between AUD 136,380 and 152,357.
