Assistant Designer

Job Overview

The Assistant Designer will play a key role in supporting artwork creation for new ceramic collections, concentrating on design features, color choices, and ensuring alignment with production needs. This position involves revising artworks following feedback, managing assigned tasks to achieve production targets, and working collaboratively across departments. The role also includes aiding in trend research to help deliver timely, quality designs ready for approval and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior designers in developing and preparing artwork aligned with project goals for upcoming collections.
• Take responsibility for creating your own collection, focusing on innovative color schemes and design aspects that match brand identity and market trends.
• Develop digital designs and ensure their compatibility with color profiles, textures, and manufacturing specifications.
• Adjust artwork based on requests from product development teams, labs, and customer inputs under design manager supervision.
• Follow tasks and targets set by the Design Manager to fulfill production timelines and commercial objectives.
• Provide weekly progress reports detailing completed work, encountered challenges, and overall advancement toward design goals.
• Collaborate with production, development, and other teams to guarantee designs meet technical requirements for effective production.
• Assist with trend research and market analysis to generate fresh and relevant design collections.
• Ensure design completion adheres to quality standards and deadlines prior to final approval for production.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma degree in Design is required.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in relevant design roles.
