Assistant Cook/Chef

About the Role

Aramark Ireland has secured a new catering contract at TCS in Letterkenny, County Donegal, and is seeking a dedicated Assistant Cook/Chef to join the team. This position involves a strong teamwork component, reporting directly to the Catering Manager, and contributing to the preparation and production of meals for breakfast and lunch services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the catering team under the Catering Manager's supervision.
• Prepare and produce food items for breakfast and lunch menus.
• Have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all menu items offered.
• Uphold rigorous food hygiene and health and safety standards consistent with Aramark's policies.
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists for shifts with thoroughness.
• Learn and apply all procedures and standards related to kitchen operations.
• Participate in any required training sessions to enhance skills and compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in food production roles within catering or retail environments.
• Good proficiency in spoken English to support communication.
• Ability to work well under supervision and follow instructions effectively.
• Self-driven, flexible, adaptable, and capable of communicating efficiently with others.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times.
• Capable of managing workload priorities and delegating tasks appropriately.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
