Job description

Main Purpose

The Assistant Boutique Manager is responsible for supporting the Boutique Manager in overseeing daily, monthly, and periodic operations, along with training and CRM initiatives within the boutique. They ensure adherence to operational and audit policies, drive sales targets, and maintain exemplary after-sales service quality. Building and sustaining client relationships to offer an outstanding experience is essential, alongside meeting KPIs set by management. Acting as a brand ambassador for Vacheron Constantin both inside and outside the boutique is a key part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operation Management

  • Ensure full compliance with all guidelines and procedures, leading by example within the team.
  • Manage product turnover and conduct precise stock counts as per company processes.
  • Coordinate weekly stock replenishment, order requests, and after-sales cases with the Boutique Manager.
  • Oversee maintenance of boutique timepieces, including strap changes, polishing, and servicing.
  • Support the after-sales team in client communications and proactive resolution of service issues.

Financial Control and Cash Management

  • Maintain compliance with legal, fiscal, and customs regulations.
  • Perform cash registry oversight and controls.
  • Advocate for commission scheme adjustments if necessary to improve retail staff retention.

Sales Targets and Strategy

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals aligned with brand retail strategies.
  • Achieve boutique KPIs through collaboration with the Boutique Manager.
  • Develop resilient sales strategies alongside the Boutique Manager.

Boutique Appearance and Client Experience

  • Maintain a premium boutique environment ensuring excellent client welcoming, handling, and service standards.
  • Support visual merchandising implementation and CRM activities.
  • Drive a superior client experience through ongoing CRM follow-ups and quality after-sales service.

Team Management

  • Encourage proactive involvement of all sales associates.
  • Monitor staff presentation and behavior according to company and boutique standards.
  • Support team development and onboarding of new members, providing training and weekly coaching.
  • Organize task distribution and staff scheduling for balanced work hours and roles.
  • Conduct regular role plays and daily constructive feedback to enhance team performance.

Reporting and Planning

  • Assist in daily and monthly sales reporting in coordination with the Boutique Manager.
  • Help define and submit monthly action plans, including sales summaries, boutique activations, client events, and improvements.

Customer Relations and CRM

  • Uphold service excellence and foster strong client relationships by leading with example.
  • Manage VIP and client databases for boutique sales and marketing activities.
  • Handle customer complaints personally with care.
  • Monitor Medallia feedback daily and share findings within the team.

Profile

Experience

  • At least five years in retail, preferably within the luxury sector.
  • Proven expertise in driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in boutique operations.
