Key Responsibilities

• Actively deter theft, fraud, and policy breaches by maintaining a visible, professional presence within the store.
• Lawfully and safely apprehend individuals committing offenses, following all company policies and legal requirements.
• Conduct thorough investigations both internally and with external partners, compiling evidence and coordinating with law enforcement when needed.
• Collaborate with store leaders to identify patterns of loss and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies, standards, and relevant provincial regulations.
• Adapt effectively to a fast-paced and changing environment with flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid Provincial Security Guard License.
• Strong understanding of relevant laws including the Criminal Code of Canada and the Trespass to Property Act.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems, surveillance technology, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a confident and respectful demeanor.
• High ethical standards, reliability, and self-motivated problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail sectors is considered an advantage.
