Asset Protection Representative

This role is a fundamental position within our Asset Protection team, ensuring the safety of our business, employees, and customers at Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Saskatoon. This full-time role involves working from two specified store locations and requires a valid driver's license.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional in-store presence to deter theft, fraud, and policy breaches actively.
• Confidently and lawfully detain individuals suspected of offenses adhering to company and legal processes.
• Perform thorough internal and external investigations by collecting and analyzing evidence, collaborating with law enforcement when necessary.
• Work alongside store leadership to identify trends in loss and implement strategies to minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with established company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations.
• Adapt flexibly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing schedules and challenges.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid Provincial Security Guard License and knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related laws.
• Experience using CCTV surveillance systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Professional demeanor that is approachable, confident, respectful, and characterized by excellent communication skills.
• High personal integrity, accountability, and a proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving issues.
• Previous work experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other busy retail environments is advantageous.
