About the Role

As a key member of the Asset Protection team, you will play a vital role in preventing theft, fraud, and policy violations within high-traffic grocery and pharmacy stores through vigilance, professionalism, and effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively deter and prevent theft, fraud, and policy breaches by maintaining a visible and professional presence in-store.
• Confidently and lawfully detain offenders while strictly adhering to company and legal protocols.
• Conduct thorough internal and external investigations, collect and analyze evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
• Work closely with store leadership to identify loss patterns and develop strategies to minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with all company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations.
• Adapt to a fast-changing, dynamic work environment and flexible scheduling with agility and resilience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a valid Provincial Security Guard License and familiarity with the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related laws.
• Experience using CCTV systems, surveillance technology, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exhibit a professional, approachable demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
• Previous employment in grocery, pharmacy, or other fast-paced retail environments is advantageous.
