This role is vital in creating a secure shopping atmosphere by preventing theft and fraud at high-traffic retail locations. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence in-store to deter theft, fraud, and policy breaches.
• Confidently and lawfully detain individuals suspected of violations following company and legal protocols.
• Conduct thorough internal and external investigations, gather evidence, and liaise with law enforcement as necessary.
• Work jointly with store leadership to identify loss patterns and develop effective prevention measures.
• Ensure adherence to corporate standards, security guidelines, and provincial laws.
• Adapt to a dynamic environment with a flexible schedule, including 40 hours per week spanning shifts from 8:00 AM to midnight, any day of the week.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Provincial Security Guard License and knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation.
• Experience utilizing CCTV, surveillance technology, and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating approachability, confidence, and respect with excellent communication capabilities.
• Demonstrated trustworthiness, accountability, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Previous exposure to grocery, pharmacy, or high-volume retail settings is considered advantageous.
