Shoppers Drug Mart in Ajax is seeking an Asset Protection Representative to join one of Canada's largest asset protection teams. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment by minimizing product loss through vigilance and investigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prevent, identify, and address theft and fraud incidents within retail locations.
• Coordinate with fellow asset protection representatives on provincial and national organized retail crime investigations.
• Work closely with local law enforcement to support security initiatives.
• Conduct internal investigations and prepare evidence for legal proceedings.
• Identify potential shrinkage risks by ensuring compliance with operational policies.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with store management through meetings and coaching regarding asset protection best practices.
• Participate in store audits to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Engage in community events to reinforce safety awareness.
• Be available to work diverse shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, totaling a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid Provincial Security Guard License.
• Basic knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, Powers of Arrest, and experience with CCTV and surveillance technologies.
• Familiarity with Windows applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Professional, approachable, and friendly demeanor.
• High levels of initiative and integrity to excel in a dynamic retail environment.
