Asset Protection Representative

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a vigilant and professional presence to prevent theft, fraud, and breaches of company policy on store premises.
• Confidently and safely detain individuals suspected of offences while adhering strictly to company protocols and legal requirements.
• Lead thorough investigations by collecting and analyzing evidence, and collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Work with store leadership to identify patterns in inventory shrinkage and deploy targeted loss prevention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, security rules, and provincial laws related to asset protection.
• Adapt quickly to a fast-evolving work environment and flexible schedule to address emerging challenges.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Hold a valid Provincial Security Guard License and be knowledgeable about the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and similar legal statutes.
• Experienced in using surveillance technologies such as CCTV and proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Display a professional, approachable demeanor combined with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate high integrity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Prior experience in high-volume retail, grocery, or pharmacy sectors is advantageous.
