Job description

About the Role

We are collaborating with a prominent UAE-based institution that is pioneering a digital-first, AI-driven financial services platform. This early-stage opportunity allows you to significantly contribute to shaping the treasury, liquidity, funding, and balance sheet management functions of a well-backed and ambitious financial institution.

As an Asset Liability & Capital Management (ALCM) Analyst, you will be integral in overseeing balance sheet governance, capital allocation, liquidity tracking, and funding strategies. In partnership with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and executive leadership, you will prepare analysis, insights, and commentary essential for Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) decisions. Your duties will include generating ALCO documentation, evaluating capital and liquidity metrics, and establishing robust balance sheet management frameworks for a nascent banking entity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compile and manage comprehensive ALCO packs encompassing financial analytics, commentary, and strategic suggestions.
  • Facilitate the complete ALCO governance cycle while collaborating with Treasury, Finance, and Risk teams.
  • Continuously assess capital adequacy, liquidity status, funding risk, and structural balance sheet exposures.
  • Assist with liquidity oversight and optimize balance sheet tactics.
  • Deliver management reports and analytical support for high-level decision-making.
  • Participate actively in ICAAP, stress testing, and forecast projection exercises.
  • Evaluate and maintain Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) frameworks and relevant reporting.
  • Develop and sustain analytical models and reporting tools for treasury and balance sheet oversight.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience in banking environments, ideally within the UAE market.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asset Liability Management and balance sheet administration.
  • Direct exposure to Asset-Liability Committees, including supporting or contributing to their operations.
  • Proven ability to prepare and present ALCO materials and management reports effectively.
  • Experience analysing liquidity, funding, interest rate risk, and capital positions.
  • Strong familiarity with Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies.
  • Capability to interpret complex financial data and render valuable commercial insights.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and communication.

Preferred Competencies

  • Understanding of the Central Bank of UAE regulatory policies and liquidity management frameworks.
  • Professional credentials in finance such as CFA, FRM, PRM, or related certifications.
  • Experience in supporting Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and stress testing procedures.

Education and Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field is preferred.
  • Progress towards professional certifications like CFA, FRM, or PRM is advantageous.
  • Applicants must satisfy ongoing Central Bank of UAE Fit & Proper standards and any relevant controlled-function eligibility criteria.
