Job description
Company Overview
CRE Underwater Connectivity, a division of Amphenol, specializes in the design and manufacture of rugged subsea connectivity solutions. Their product range includes all-metal shell connectors, fiber optic products, strain terminations, penetrators, and junction boxes designed to withstand the harshest underwater environments, from splash zones to full ocean depths.
Responsibilities
- Perform soldering and assembly of subsea electrical components and assemblies strictly following job cards.
- Interpret technical drawings, assembly guidelines, and parts lists to produce assemblies meeting customer specifications.
- Accurately complete all necessary production and testing documentation.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on all assembly equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to the manufacturing priority schedule set by production management.
- Manage time effectively to maximize output without compromising quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols including risk assessments, safe work systems, and COSHH regulations within the work area.
- Use barcode scanning technology to track jobs accurately throughout production.

- Perform any other tasks assigned by management as needed.
Required Skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under pressure.
- Strong organizational abilities and time management skills.
- Compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and schematics; capable of identifying any discrepancies or missing information.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with wiring subsea cable assemblies and penetrators.
- Knowledge in manufacturing subsea connectors and bulkheads.
- Familiarity with oil-filled assembly processes.
