Overview
The Assembly Technician role at Stream-Flo Industries involves assembling, testing, and painting gate valve products while adhering to strict quality standards. Reporting to the Assembly, Test and Paint (ATP) Supervisor, this position requires precision workmanship and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, stamp, and test gate valve assemblies aligned with work order guidelines.
- Ensure all assembly and testing meet specified work order criteria.
- Detect and separate any non-conforming products by marking appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and equipment to Stream-Flo standards.
- Comply with work orders and process travelers; complete job sheets or log hours using the ERP system.
- Report any issues with machinery, cranes, or hoists in maintenance logs and notify relevant personnel about downtime situations.
- Adhere to Stream-Flo Group's principles concerning health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Follow all applicable procedures and standards rigorously.
- Conduct testing and assembly processes safely and conscientiously.
- Maintain productivity and operational efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineering to implement and uphold best practices.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by lead hand or supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with assembly, testing, and painting processes.
- Mechanical assembly or repair background.
- Forklift operation experience is advantageous.
- Possess computer skills to support operational requirements.
- Familiarity with Stream-Flo or competitor valve equipment is beneficial.
- Strong dedication to workplace health and safety standards.
- Attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
