Job description
Job Overview
This role involves the mechanical assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and industrial automation equipment. The candidate will work closely with design, electrical, and production teams to ensure precise and high-quality machine assembly and delivery to customers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble Special Purpose Machines (SPM) in accordance with technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Carry out mechanical assembly of machine frameworks, including fixtures, cylinders, linear guides, slides, sensors, and other components.
- Perform fitting and precise alignment of machine parts to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools and measurement devices effectively during assembly and fitting processes.
- Interpret mechanical and assembly drawings to guide the assembly work accurately.
- Provide assistance in electrical wiring, pneumatic connections, and general machine integration.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of machines at customer sites, including troubleshooting mechanical issues during these stages.
- Ensure machines meet quality standards in alignment and finishing before dispatch and installation.
- Collaborate and coordinate with design, electrical, and production teams throughout assembly and commissioning activities.
- Travel to customer locations as required for installation and commissioning of SPM machines.
Qualifications and Experience
- ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Prior experience in assembly of Special Purpose Machines is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with machine assembly techniques, fitting, use of hand tools, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings effectively.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and machine installation techniques is advantageous.
- Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing machines, or SPMs is desirable.
- Fresh mechanical assembly graduates with strong practical skills may also apply.
Compensation
The salary range offered is INR 22,000 to INR 30,000 per month.
