The company is also expanding its footprint in food processing facilities.
Role Overview
This position entails assembling products both independently and collaboratively, adhering strictly to specified drawings and instructions utilizing various hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently operate safely and efficiently while assembling diverse products and their components to create final products for customer sales.
- Accurately arrange parts based on an understanding of the product or by interpreting work orders, blueprints, and tape measure specifications to ensure correct assembly.
- Secure components using fasteners such as bolts, screws, speed clips, and rivets with hand and portable power tools.
- Perform minor metal adjustments using hand files and scrapers to achieve precise fits between parts.
- May specialize in a particular assembly area or rotate across different sections depending on shop or customer demands.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; capable of drafting basic written communication; effective at communicating one-on-one with supervisors and colleagues.
- Competence in arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to read blueprints and operate tape measures.
