Assembler - 1st Shift

Job Overview

This role involves assembling metal products either partially or fully, positioning components as required. Assembly is conducted based on knowledge of the specific unit or by following blueprints, diagrams, layouts, or verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Place parts accurately according to unit specifications or assembly blueprints.
• Secure parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners by hand or with air/power tools.
• Trim small amounts of metal to ensure precise fitting between parts.
• Operate machinery to perform force fitting or fastening tasks as directed.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols to conduct tasks efficiently and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Support training and guidance of other employees when requested by supervisors.
• The role may require additional responsibilities and willingness to work overtime hours.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Travel obligations are minimal, less than 10% of the time.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work quickly under time constraints to meet production goals.
• Competency in reading build sheets and blueprints is essential.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written, equivalent to high school diploma or GED level.
• Job-specific skills and safe work practices are learned through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
• The position involves medium to heavy physical work, requiring the ability to exert between 21 to 70 pounds of force occasionally and frequently, depending on specific tasks.
