Job description
About the Role
We seek an Artificial Intelligence Engineer specialized in designing, developing, and implementing intelligent systems powered by machine learning and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role involves close cooperation with engineering and product teams to embed AI functionalities into scalable applications leveraging Python and cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Create AI/ML and LLM-driven solutions tailored for practical applications.
- Construct and implement LLM workflows including prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and fine-tuning as needed.
- Develop backend APIs for seamless AI model integration within applications.
- Handle both structured and unstructured datasets, performing data preprocessing and extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines.
- Enhance model efficiency regarding performance, operational cost, and latency for live production environments.
- Deploy AI technologies utilizing cloud services, prioritizing serverless options on AWS.
- Continually monitor, assess, and refine AI model outputs to maintain and improve quality.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including engineering, product management, and design.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as an AI or Machine Learning Engineer.
- Advanced programming capabilities in Python.
- Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as OpenAI, LangChain, and LlamaIndex, alongside skills in prompt engineering and RAG systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning principles, data pipelining, and ETL operations.
- Experience in API development using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL/PostgreSQL) and vector databases including Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate.
- Exposure to AWS or similar cloud computing platforms.
- Awareness of software engineering best practices including version control with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
