Job description
Role Overview
The Area Manager will oversee the operational effectiveness, sales advancement, profitability, guest satisfaction, team leadership, and regulatory compliance across various KNS restaurant locations in a designated region. This is a proactive leadership role requiring frequent site visits to identify and remedy operational gaps, mentor outlet managers, and ensure uniform adherence to KNS standards.
Primary Duties
- Manage daily operations across multiple KNS outlets including regular and surprise inspections.
- Verify adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational guidelines, and management directives at each outlet.
- Supervise opening and closing procedures along with kitchen, service, takeaway, and delivery functionalities.
- Identify operational challenges and implement prompt corrective measures.
- Coordinate effectively among Restaurant Managers, Store In-Charges, and corporate headquarters to maintain consistency.
- Take responsibility for sales results by analyzing daily to monthly performance reports, setting targets, and driving growth in dine-in, takeaway, and online orders.
- Implement marketing plans and promotions while monitoring competitors and promoting upselling and cross-selling by staff.
- Oversee cost control parameters such as food and labour costs, waste management, inventory levels, stock discrepancies, and cash handling to enhance profitability.
- Ensure consistent food quality, hygiene, safety, and compliance with FSSAI, FDA standards through routine checks and maintenance of cleanliness throughout the outlets.
- Maintain a superior customer service standard by monitoring feedback, resolving complaints, and ensuring professional staff conduct.
- Lead and develop outlet teams by conducting performance assessments, identifying talent for leadership development, facilitating training, managing staffing and attendance, and implementing disciplinary measures as necessary.
- Promote a work culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and ownership among teams.
Work Environment & Additional Notes
This role involves extensive travel across multiple outlets within the region and demands a hands-on approach, ensuring all operational, financial, and compliance aspects meet company criteria consistently.
