About the Role and Company
Located in Athlone within Ireland's Midlands, our client is a well-established architectural firm recognized for delivering premium-quality projects across Ireland. Owing to a substantial growth in project load, they are seeking a seasoned Architectural Technologist to join their expanding team. This position offers the chance to engage with a strong flow of commercial and residential projects progressing towards construction phases in the upcoming months.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage documentation for planning, tender, and construction stages.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations and BCAR standards.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and statutory agencies.
- Participate in site meetings and conduct site inspections as required.
- Track project development and resolve technical challenges during construction.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design data throughout project execution.
- Support the delivery of projects from the early concept phase through to final completion.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Ireland; 5+ years preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and construction detailing.
- Documented success in managing projects through construction and site stages.
- Excellent technical detailing and strong project coordination capabilities.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit software tools.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Valid full driving licence and readiness to travel to project locations as necessary.
