Role Overview

This is a full-time position based in Doha, Qatar, requiring onsite presence. The Architectural Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed architectural and construction drawings specifically for event-related structures, including stages, exhibition stands, and temporary builds. Core duties involve converting design ideas into precise technical schematics, collaborating with designers, project leads, and production teams, and ensuring compliance with structural, safety, and material standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural and construction drawings for event structures such as stages and exhibition stands.
• Translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings suitable for production and construction.
• Coordinate effectively with designers, project managers, and production teams to align plans.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to structural, safety, and material requirements.
• Revise technical documents according to feedback from stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of drawings and revisions.
• Assist in project planning and site coordination to facilitate correct implementation of designs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Expertise in architectural and construction drawing techniques with precision and detail.
• Understanding of architectural principles and planning relevant to event and temporary installations.
• Proficiency in CAD and various digital drafting software tools.
• Prior experience in events, exhibitions, or related construction environments preferred.
• Possession of a diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Capability to interpret design briefs and adhere to technical and regulatory standards including local safety guidelines.
• Strong focus on detail, effective time management, and collaborative work approach in fast-paced settings.
• Proficient communication skills in English, with Arabic language skills considered advantageous.
