Job Overview
The Architect BIM Coordinator role involves supporting both Architecture and BIM teams by integrating strong architectural BIM skills with coordination across multiple disciplines. This position focuses on architectural modeling, documentation, and design development while assisting in model federation, clash detection and resolution, quality assurance and compliance with BIM standards. The coordinator also liaises with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen project delivery without undertaking the full scope of a Senior BIM Coordinator or BIM Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed and precise BIM models aligned with project requirements and design guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to established BIM standards, workflows, and protocols to ensure uniformity and quality.
- Collaborate actively with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to integrate BIM smoothly, addressing any design conflicts.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange among project teams and act as a point of contact for BIM-related questions.
- Conduct regular audits of BIM models and documentation to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Implement quality control procedures and support corrective measures when BIM inconsistencies arise.
- Provide technical assistance on BIM software and procedures to team members, enabling effective BIM utilization.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional growth to stay updated on BIM technologies and incorporate improvements.
- Manage BIM data and documentation to keep information organized, current, and easily accessible for all stakeholders.
- Compile reports on BIM activities and project progress to aid informed decision-making.
