Architect

Role Overview

The Architect will be responsible for crafting architectural designs and technical drawings, transforming client needs into feasible design solutions. The role demands collaboration with various stakeholders including clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Key Duties

• Create architectural concepts, plans, elevations, layouts, and detailed designs.
• Develop technical drawings, specifications, and necessary project documentation.
• Interpret client requirements into constructive architectural outcomes.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, civil, and MEP teams.
• Perform site inspections, visits, and design evaluations.
• Review shop drawings, check materials, and assess technical submissions.
• Ensure adherence to building codes and regulatory standards.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
• Detect and address design conflicts and technical challenges.
• Monitor construction activities to align with approved designs and drawings.
• Handle Requests for Information (RFIs), design modifications, change orders, and site-related issues.
• Assist with submissions, permits, and approvals from relevant authorities.
• Prepare design presentations and comprehensive project reports.
• Contribute to value engineering and promote cost-effective design strategies.
• Maintain high standards of design quality, precision, and project compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in architectural design, construction, or consultancy sectors.
• In-depth understanding of architectural principles, materials, and detailing techniques.
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or comparable design software.
• Experienced in producing technical and construction drawings.
• Good knowledge of building codes and authority regulations.
• Excellent skills in multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving aptitudes.
• Meticulous attention to design detail and precision.
• Effective communication and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to manage several projects while meeting tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation tools.
• Experience within the UAE or GCC construction or architectural market is a plus.
• Professional, organized, dependable, and proactive work manner.
