About the Role
The Amazon Smart Vehicles (ASV) science team is searching for a passionate Applied Scientist with deep expertise in advanced Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. This position focuses on pioneering AI innovations that provide personalized services improving the experiences of drivers and passengers. The goal is to simplify daily tasks, offer relevant information, entertainment, productivity, and safety features during travel, directly contributing to key Amazon solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize diverse Amazon data sources and powerful computing infrastructure to drive progress in generative AI.
- Lead the creation of groundbreaking algorithms and models that push the boundaries of LLM technology.
- Partner closely with multidisciplinary science and engineering teams, along with business stakeholders, to maximize the impact and speed of your work.

Basic Qualifications
- More than 3 years of experience developing models for business use cases.
- PhD or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or related fields.
- Track record of patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Proficiency in programming with Java, C++, Python, or equivalent languages.
- Expertise in areas such as algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing theoretical models in practical environments.
- Background in professional software development.
