Role Summary

The Applied Data Scientist will join our Algorithm team, engaging in the development and enhancement of AI agents that integrate large language model (LLM) systems, agent-based AI, and crypto-native analytics. The role involves creating AI technologies capable of market comprehension, on-chain data reasoning, and rapid decision-making for an extensive user base. Responsibilities include architecting agent models that plan strategically, designing multi-agent systems to manage complex cryptocurrency workflows, and employing advanced techniques to optimize inference intelligence under real-time constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production-level LLM pipelines fueling Binance's AI products and cutting-edge agentic trading functionalities, including multi-step reasoning agents, tool selection frameworks, and autonomous workflows across diverse markets.
  • Enhance agent performance in tasks such as comprehension, reasoning, selection, and execution, balancing intelligence, speed, and reliability within high-frequency trading environments.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks to assess reasoning outputs in crypto applications, focusing on market analysis accuracy, decision quality, hallucination mitigation, and safeguarding against prompt injection attacks.
  • Utilize test-time scaling strategies like chain-of-thought, self-consistency, and process reward models to strengthen agent reasoning amidst dynamic market situations.
  • Architect AI system components emphasizing minimal latency, maximal throughput, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging platforms like vLLM and TensorRT-LLM to ensure seamless, uninterrupted 24/7 trading operations.
  • Incorporate on-chain datasets, wallet behavior analytics, and cryptocurrency market indicators into LLM-driven analytical frameworks, ensuring agents maintain authentic crypto-native capabilities.
  • Collaborate with research scientists to transform experimental research into robust, production-ready solutions with defined performance standards.

Candidate Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in applied machine learning or artificial intelligence engineering, in industry or research settings.
  • Proficient Python programming skills, coupled with familiarity and comfort in utilizing AI-powered development tools seamlessly within daily workflows.
  • Hands-on experience interacting with large language models, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or full LLM application lifecycle development.
  • Knowledge of multi-agent system architectures, including task decomposition, tool usage through multi-channel processing, memory oversight, parallel agent execution, and inter-agent communication.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with an aptitude for problem breakdown, capable of navigating ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments.
