About the Role
We are collaborating with Dwelly to recruit engineers experienced in developing AI agents that are operational in production environments. Dwelly is a platform unifying UK letting agencies on a single technology stack, leveraging AI to assist in tenant acquisition, property management, and financial operations. As Dwelly expands by incorporating more agencies, significant engineering challenges emerge, including consolidating diverse AI workflows, enhancing measurable performance, and building scalable infrastructure for growth.
Joining a compact team within a 20-person engineering department, you will engage in hands-on development with opportunities to influence system architecture, deploy improvements, and analyze system behavior in live settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and expand agentic workflows incorporating tools, structured data outputs, and task orchestration mechanisms.
- Integrate disparate AI workflows into a coherent and unified system.
- Develop evaluation procedures and feedback loops for detecting errors and enhancing output quality.
- Address practical concerns such as latency optimization, cost management, hallucination reduction, and system reliability.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to address challenges arising from rapid business growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of professional software engineering experience with a robust backend development background.
- Proven track record in creating and operating agentic AI systems in production, including the ability to discuss system design, user base, evaluation methodologies, and post-deployment issues.
- Practical experience with agent orchestration, integration of external tools, and generating structured output data.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
Technical Stack
The technology environment includes TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Python. Candidates with experience in AI-centric companies or startups where they have had ownership over their delivered solutions are highly desirable.
Additional Information
This is a fully remote position suitable for applicants based in the UK or Europe who are able to work during UK business hours. The salary range is between £100,000 and £150,000 per year, supplemented with equity options.
