About the Role
Join Service Foods, a prominent privately-owned food service distributor in New Zealand, as an Application Support Technician within their National Support team. In this role, you will deliver technical assistance to users, troubleshoot and resolve application issues, and help maintain smooth operations to reduce downtime and improve productivity. This position requires both independent problem-solving and teamwork, along with the possibility of providing on-call support after hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer first and second-tier technical support for application-related problems.
- Investigate and address software and application faults.
- Create documentation on resolutions and enhance the company knowledge repository.
- Actively oversee application performance and identify potential concerns.
- Participate in testing and validating new applications or updates.
- Provide support for Salesforce users including data management, report generation, and customization, or handle SQL-related challenges such as queries, data verification, and analysis.
- Champion continuous improvement and keep abreast of emerging technology trends.
Candidate Profile
- Professional background featuring at least two years of IT application support experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working autonomously or collaboratively.
- Proficiency with ticketing platforms and specialized knowledge in Salesforce administration/development or SQL database management. Having expertise in both areas is highly advantageous.
