Position Overview
We are looking for two motivated Application Support Officers to join the Chief Technology Office at the City of Gold Coast. This is a full-time role offering a 9-day fortnight schedule, equating to 36 hours per week. The annual salary ranges from $111,401 to $117,924, plus superannuation benefits.
Role Responsibilities
As an Application Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the City’s employee experience platforms, including systems related to HR, Payroll, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, and Onboarding. Your duties will include maintaining platform reliability and security, driving continual improvements, resolving issues, implementing system upgrades, and collaborating closely with ICT teams and business stakeholders to improve employee-focused digital services across the organisation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant experience in a comparable role.
- Proficiency with digital HR management applications such as Workday, Chris21, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Experience with SQL databases, web tools, user interface technologies, and data analytics platforms.
- Strong knowledge of core HR business processes including employee lifecycle management, payroll, learning and development, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Excellent customer service skills and familiarity with ticketing or service management systems, for example, ServiceNow.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective stakeholder engagement capabilities including gathering requirements and conducting training sessions.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical details to non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of privacy, data security, HR compliance, and records management standards.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management principles (incident, problem, and change management) and willingness to pursue ITIL certification if not already obtained.
- Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with breaking down technical tasks into user stories and actionable items.
