Job description
Position Overview
The Manager or Senior Manager of IT will be responsible for managing local IT operations, overseeing asset management activities, and providing end-user support across the Head Office and manufacturing plants. This position serves as the key liaison connecting local IT functions with the central IT and security divisions, ensuring efficient coordination on infrastructure, network management, and security protocols.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Central IT team to administer, support, and maintain local IT infrastructure, ensuring robust network uptime and seamless business continuity.
- Manage local end-user support, promptly resolving issues pertaining to hardware, software, email, local networking, and peripheral devices.
- Track and control the local IT operational budget, oversee software and hardware distribution, and administer Annual Maintenance Contracts aligned with central policies.
- Partner with the Central ISMS team to implement and sustain Information Security Management System policies as per ISO 27001 standards.
- Assist the central security division during internal, external, surveillance, and certification audits by furnishing pertinent documentation and evidence.
- Support closure of local audit findings and execute corrective measures defined by central security teams.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices locally, oversee endpoint security, and facilitate vulnerability assessments together with central teams.
- Lead campaigns to enhance cybersecurity awareness among employees, including phishing simulations and training sessions designed centrally.
- Manage end-to-end IT asset lifecycle at the local level, encompassing procurement support, inventory management, allocation, upkeep, and disposal.
- Coordinate local IT procurement activities such as gathering requirements, vendor evaluation, sourcing quotations, and cooperating with central procurement or external vendors.
- Maintain productive relationships with local hardware/service vendors and system integrators to ensure service delivery excellence.
- Produce regular reports covering IT operations, asset inventories, and incident registers for management and central IT leadership.
- Identify and advocate for local technological improvements aimed at boosting operational efficiency and user productivity.
Candidate Profile
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology coupled with an MBA from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Approximately 11 to 13 years in areas including IT operations, infrastructure management, and vendor coordination.
- Expertise in ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems audit procedures and adherence to security compliance requirements.
- Proficient in managing enterprise networks, system administration, endpoint protection, and IT troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated capability in IT asset management, procurement processes, vendor engagement, and coordination.
- Strong skills in stakeholder communication, cross-functional collaboration, and accurate documentation practices.
