Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Application Engineer to join our sales team. This position requires becoming a subject matter expert on our products, providing technical expertise to customers globally. The role involves working in close collaboration with the engineering team to validate new features and relay functional insights to support sales efforts, as well as partnering with marketing to disseminate product benefits to a broader audience. The Application Engineer reports directly to the Sales Director and offers potential career advancement opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority on the application and use of our measurement systems.
• Engage with customers on-site to understand and analyze their technical requirements.
• Work collaboratively with engineering to ensure projects are delivered smoothly and on schedule.
• Provide comprehensive training sessions for partners and customers.
• Investigate and resolve customer technical problems effectively.
• Maintain current knowledge of the latest products and advancements in the measurement technology field.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant technical experience.
• Willingness and ability to undertake international travel approximately one to two times monthly.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Confidence in presenting technical information and delivering training sessions.
• Familiarity with basic IT concepts and principles.
• Experience or demonstrable knowledge in metrology is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary ranging from £32,000 to £45,000, dependent on experience.
