Application Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join a prominent global technology company. The professional will deliver technical expertise and customer assistance throughout sales and product cycles, playing a vital role in developing solutions that support business expansion across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver application-specific technical support to customers located in the EMEA region.
• Analyze and clarify customer needs to devise optimal technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams to facilitate customer meetings, demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Formulate application solutions, contribute to technical proposals, and conduct proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Assist with product trials, commissioning procedures, and troubleshooting operations.
• Liaise with R&D as well as product development teams to relay customer feedback and promote product enhancements.
• Provide training and technical advice to clients and partners as required.
• Support business growth by identifying new application scenarios and highlighting technical benefits.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry forums, and technical conferences.
• Maintain enduring customer relationships by acting as a trusted technical liaison.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a relevant technical field.
• Demonstrated experience in Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, Field Engineering, or related frontline technical roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sophisticated technology products with capability to translate complex concepts into effective customer solutions.
• Practical experience engaging with customers to define requirements, resolve technical challenges, and implement solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills able to interact adeptly with technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, research and development, and product teams.
• Commercial savvy combined with a strong customer service orientation.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
• Willing and able to travel within the EMEA region as necessary.
