Application Developer

Job Overview

As an Application Developer at H&H Shaker based in Jeddah, you will focus on creating, supporting, and improving business software applications. Your role includes involvement in selecting and implementing a new ERP system, plus exploring AI and automation opportunities to enhance operational productivity and data-driven decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and upgrade internal applications, dashboards, reports, and connect systems.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues, ensure performance stability and security with well-documented solutions.
• Liaise with business units to gather and convert their needs into technical application functionalities.
• Coordinate with third-party software providers regarding troubleshooting and feature improvements.
• Support technical assessment during ERP product evaluation such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Odoo.
• Assist cross-departmental requirement gathering for ERP modules including Finance, Sales, Inventory, HR, and Services.
• Engage in vendor demos, conduct technical and proof-of-concept tests, and help document findings.
• Participate in configuring, customizing, integrating, migrating data, testing, deploying, and providing follow-up for ERP rollout.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing, end-user training, and enhancement of ERP reporting and workflows.
• Collaborate with ERP consultants and business users under the guidance of the National IT Manager.
• Identify and pilot AI and automation initiatives that add measurable value across the business.
• Develop AI-enhanced workflows when feasible and approved, including applications like AI-aided reporting, sales forecasting, and administrative automation.
• Perform proof-of-concept evaluations for AI projects to confirm business impact.
• Ensure AI functionalities adhere to corporate information security and privacy standards.
• Develop and maintain system integrations via APIs connecting ERP, CRM, HR, and others.
• Drive digital transformation by replacing manual tasks with automated digital workflows and continuous improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in application development, database management, API usage, and system integration.
• Familiarity with ERP business processes, ideally with practical experience in ERP implementations or integrations.
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence technologies and business automation, with ability to assess and develop use cases.
• Experience in web development, modern reporting tools, and contemporary software engineering methodologies.
