Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineering departments to design, implement, and deploy standardized operational processes and best practices throughout the organization.
- Provide training to Industrial Engineering (I.E.) personnel on approved work measurement processes and standards, maintaining the relevant data repository.
- Support I.E. teams in special reengineering efforts or new project initiatives as needed.
- Lead planning and execution of major project implementations and training programs, managing subject matter experts to ensure deadlines and project targets are met.
- Develop web application training content for operational trainers and coordinate field training efforts.
- Assist warehouse operations teams by offering improvement strategies tailored to Healthcare process challenges.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles to recommend solutions addressing routine supply chain issues.
- Understand and analyze cost modeling, financial drivers, and Profit & Loss components of accounts to guide decision making.
- Engage with stakeholders effectively to gather clear requirements and ensure alignment.
- Design detailed warehouse processes, manage vendor relations, and track associated costs while working closely with IT teams to deliver comprehensive supply chain solutions.
- Ensure final operational designs align with customer expectations and UPS Healthcare strategies.
- Participate in customer meetings and workshops to present and refine process designs.
- Manage project lifecycles by creating project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring accountability across functions.
- Maintain communication with project resources through formal and informal channels to manage deliverables and schedules successfully.
- Present project documentation to stakeholders for approval, including cost and pricing agreements.
- Coordinate multiple projects and deployment timelines to satisfy stakeholder requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, mapping processes, and identifying inefficiencies using data-driven insights.
- Implement Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Agile to optimize operational processes.
- Oversee improvement projects from initiation to completion ensuring deadlines and measurable outcomes are met.
- Keep abreast of the latest innovations and technologies relevant to the logistics and healthcare sectors.
- Provide monthly updates on continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in the logistics sector, with a preference for healthcare industry exposure.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, strategic thinking ability, and proactive approach towards work.
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities facilitating relationship-building and stakeholder trust.
- Creativity and openness to innovative ideas with the drive to implement effective solutions.
- Proven leadership skills with a capacity to manage change effectively.
- Results-driven mindset focusing on outcome management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) and AutoCAD.
- Flexibility with work hours, including occasional night calls, and willingness to travel within Singapore to various healthcare facilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required for work purposes.
