ANP Surveyor

Position Summary

The Acute Needs Program (ANP) Surveyor operates as a key figure in assessing the critical needs of clients in a community-based setting within Kono District, Sierra Leone. This role demands excellent communication and advocacy skills to liaise between patients, ANP staff, and other program colleagues. The candidate must be well-organized, highly motivated, dependable, and dedicated to patient care. Fieldwork encompasses all 14 chiefdoms across the district under close coordination with the ANP Officer and fellow surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and current records of individuals who complete the ANP home survey.
• Obtain patient details including names and addresses for survey administration from the ANP Program Officer.
• Master the use of the assessment tool objectively, providing constructive feedback to improve both the tool and the assessment procedure.
• Collaborate weekly with the ANP Officer to plan and execute assessment schedules.
• Serve as an advocate for patients, reporting concerns and needs to the ANP Officer and committee members.
• Preserve strict confidentiality concerning client data and personal information.
• Comply with PIH policies forbidding acceptance of gifts or payments from community members.

Requirements

• Successful completion of BECCE with a preference for WASSCE certification.
• Proficiency in computer usage is highly desirable.
• Fluency in Kono, Krio, and English languages is preferred.
• Strong organizational and managerial capabilities, with skills in problem-solving, creative thinking, and adaptability.
• Must be aged 18 years or older.
