Annotation Associate (US English)

Job Overview

The role of Annotation Associate involves manually labeling and annotating datasets in the Data Annotation field, supporting multiple project streams. You will provide daily assistance to project leads and teams, ensuring that datasets are accurately and reliably annotated.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually tag and label data elements.
• Confirm dataset accuracy and dependability.
• Develop specific sets aimed at evaluating and enhancing quality of judgment.
• Assess search results based on their effectiveness in fulfilling user requirements.
• Review annotated data and rectify identified mistakes.
• Document all completed annotation tasks.
• Maintain uniformity throughout the data annotation process.
• Offer constructive feedback to optimize annotation workflows.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
• Examine test outcomes to detect weaknesses and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Possession of a bachelor's or master's degree.
• Fresh graduates holding a bachelor's in English Language or TESL will be advantageous.
• Strong command of US English; candidates who have studied and lived in the US are preferred.
• One to two years of experience in annotation, data analysis, or content moderation is beneficial.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication abilities.
• Experience in labeling and categorizing data.
• Sharp attention to detail to ensure precise annotations.
• Robust research capability to interpret user search queries' underlying intents.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines.
• Competence in interpreting data and following detailed instructions.
• Skill in consolidating and analyzing data using Excel.
• Ability to listen, transcribe, and comprehend audio/text content (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing).
• Familiarity with relevant domains such as audio, text annotation, speech recognition, or natural language processing is preferred.
• Experience with annotation software tools and platforms is an advantage.
