Job Overview

We seek a proficient Android Developer to design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Android mobile applications. This role requires expertise in Android development using Java/Kotlin, along with experience in PHP-based API backend development and a foundational understanding of iOS development concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain quality Android applications in Java and Kotlin.
• Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces complying with Android UI/UX standards.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services into Android apps.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs leveraging PHP frameworks and MySQL databases.
• Handle data communication via JSON, XML formats with authentication mechanisms.
• Debug and troubleshoot across diverse Android devices and operating system versions.
• Integrate external services such as Firebase, payment gateways, SMS/OTP verification, push notifications, and Google APIs.
• Conduct application testing, bug resolution, performance tuning, and manage release processes.
• Utilize SQLite and MySQL for effective application data management.
• Collaborate with business teams, QA, backend developers, and technical stakeholders to meet project requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications by adding new features aligned to business needs.
• Deploy and publish applications through Google Play Store.
• Monitor app performance and promptly address live issues.
• Manage source code using version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Work with existing PHP backend systems and APIs effectively.
• Possess basic knowledge in iOS development including Swift/Objective-C, Xcode, lifecycle handling, and API integration to assist iOS teams when necessary.

Technical Skills Required

• Android development with Java and Kotlin using Android Studio and SDK.
• UI design utilizing XML and Material Design principles.
• RESTful API integration with JSON data handling.
• Firebase services integration including push notifications.
• Database management with SQLite and MySQL.
• Backend API development with PHP (Core PHP, CodeIgniter, Slim Framework), REST API creation, and API authentication.
• Experience using API testing tools like Postman and Swagger.
• Version control using Git platforms (GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Payment gateway integration and SMS/OTP services.
• Google APIs and Google Play Console usage.
• Basic iOS development knowledge (Swift, Objective-C, Xcode basics, lifecycle, API integration).
