Android Developer (Kotlin & Java)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team immediately in a permanent full-time position based in Nuremberg. You will play a crucial role in supporting our customers with the development and enhancement of native Android applications using Kotlin and Java. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients in creating new Android apps and improving existing ones using Kotlin and Java.
• Contribute ideas during app design and development phases.
• Enhance user experience by optimizing app functionality.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, testers, and developers throughout projects.
• Ensure app reliability by implementing high-quality code and comprehensive testing.
• Estimate effort for technical tasks, document specifications, and conduct quality assurance.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines to maintain up-to-date app versions.

Required Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in native Android app development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK.
• Expertise with Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow.
• Experience connecting REST services using JSON, including authentication and error handling.
• Familiarity with modular Android projects and Gradle build system.
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflows related to Android apps.
• Knowledge of Git version control, code reviews, and standard development practices.
• Experience with automated unit, integration, and UI testing frameworks.
• Understanding of user experience (UX), user interface (UI) design, and Material Design principles.
• Excellent written and spoken German and at least good English skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with iOS development and Kotlin Multiplatform integration across Android and iOS.
