Job Overview

We are searching for skilled Android Middleware Developers specialized in the Automotive domain to join our team in Pune. Your role will involve development and integration of middleware and HAL components within AAOS infotainment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement middleware components and HAL modules for AAOS-based infotainment platforms.
• Create and maintain AIDL/Binder IPC interfaces and vendor-specific services, along with system services and framework enhancements.
• Work on features involving Audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Projection, Media, Power management, and Vehicle HAL functionalities.
• Perform debugging at multiple levels using tools such as logcat, perfetto, gdb, systrace, and Linux utilities.
• Collaborate with Board Support Package (BSP), framework, and application teams to enable and refine features.
• Focus on optimizing system performance, reducing boot times, and managing memory efficiently.
• Support integration efforts involving third-party and open-source software stacks.
• Ensure all development aligns with ASPICE standards through documentation, code reviews, and compliance checks.
• Develop unit and integration tests and assist in reproducing field issues to maintain software quality.
• Gain or leverage exposure to Compatibility Test Suite (CTS), Vendor Test Suite (VTS), and Stability Test Suite (STS).
• Participate in migrating middleware services, framework components, and HALs to newer Android versions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in C++, Java, and shell or Python scripting with strong programming fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Android internals, including HAL, system services, and AIDL mechanisms, along with SELinux policy management.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating system concepts such as multithreading and interprocess communication (IPC).

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols like CAN and SOME/IP.
• Experience working with Qualcomm frameworks and software libraries.
• Knowledge of Hypervisor technologies, multi-virtual machine architecture, and inter-VM IPC mechanisms.
• Experience with automotive testing tools: CTS, VTS, and STS.
• Exposure to QNX or Linux-based in-vehicle infotainment systems.
