Role Overview

The position is for an Anaplan Developer tasked with designing, developing, and enhancing planning systems within Sophos' Sales and Finance departments. This role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, analytics, data engineering, and IT teams to evolve Sophos' planning platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and sustain Anaplan models supporting territory and quota planning along with incentive compensation management.
• Lead full lifecycle model development from requirements collection to design, development, user acceptance testing, training, and production support.
• Apply Anaplan architectural best practices including DISCO, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), user experience improvements, and performance optimization.
• Enhance existing models focusing on usability, performance, audit capabilities, and scalability for long-term success.
• Identify gaps in features or inefficiencies in sales planning processes.
• Design scalable architectures involving multiple models and workspaces.
• Define comprehensive data flows, system dependencies, and integration points.
• Work in partnership with IT and Data teams to build governed integrations with platforms such as Salesforce, Snowflake, and ERP systems.
• Manage the lifecycle, version control, and governance of models.
• Assess new Anaplan features and drive evolution of architecture accordingly.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience delivering enterprise-level Anaplan solutions.
• Background in sales operations, finance, business systems, or related domains.
• Established experience as a product owner and/or developer managing complex business systems.
• Expert knowledge of Anaplan best practices including DISCO, ALM, UX enhancements, and optimization of performance.
• Demonstrated experience designing and administering enterprise integrations including Salesforce, Snowflake, ERP, and data platforms.
• Strong communication skills at executive levels and skilled in stakeholder management.

Preferred Attributes and Skills

• Anaplan certification such as Anaplan Developer or Solution Architect credentials.
• Experience working in fast-paced, transformative, or post-merger organizational settings.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies applied at enterprise scale.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
• Proficiency in SQL for data handling.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range in the UK is from £50,000 to £84,000 annually, with further eligibility for bonuses and comprehensive benefits packages. Actual compensation is determined based on candidate skills, training, location, experience, education, certifications, and organizational requirements.
