Alteryx Administrator / Alteryx Platform Support Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Alteryx Administrators or Platform Support Engineers to oversee and maintain the Alteryx platform within a corporate environment. The position demands extensive involvement in platform administration, production support, performance monitoring, incident management, security oversight, and handling change and release processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the Alteryx Server and platform across enterprise settings.
• Configure platform settings, administer user access, roles, and permissions effectively.
• Continuously monitor platform health including server status, workflow executions, scheduling, and overall system performance.
• Provide tiered production support (L1 through L3), addressing incidents and problems promptly.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to workflow execution, scheduling, connectivity, and system performance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, network, security, and application teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Handle security coordination, vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, and compliance requirements.
• Manage change, patching, release upgrades, and ensure environment readiness for deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive operation documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and support protocols.
• Conduct root cause analyses for repeated production issues and lead resolution initiatives.
• Monitor platform capacity and availability to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and Alteryx technical support as needed for product-related concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Alteryx Server and Platform Administration.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in IT with significant exposure to production or application platform support.
• Proficiency in incident and problem management methodologies.
• Experience in monitoring Alteryx platform health and performance metrics.
• Capability to manage user access, role assignment, and security administration effectively.
• Familiarity with change and release management processes.
• Knowledge of security coordination and handling vulnerabilities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience conducting root cause analyses (RCA).

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Alteryx Server installation, configuration, patching and upgrades.
• Familiarity with managing Alteryx Gallery and Server environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot database connectivity issues.
• Understanding of ITIL processes in operational support.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level production environments.
• Skills in automation and scripting for support tasks.

Other Details

• Work location includes Bangalore or Hyderabad with a hybrid model requiring three days in the office weekly.
