Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Level 3

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, customer-centered Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and certification duties within their authorised scope, ensuring aircraft remain airworthy and compliant with established aviation standards. Responsibilities include endorsing all maintenance and General Aviation Tasking in the aircraft's continuing airworthiness record system and assisting Maintenance Managers by providing task sign-off and certification for maintenance activities within authorised limits.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete platform-specific safety familiarisation courses or equivalent training.
• Undergo competence assessments for authorised maintenance tasks.
• Participate in system- or component-specific courses related to component-level maintenance.
• Apply understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles in maintenance operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
• Understand human factors affecting maintenance quality and safety.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to support on-the-job training progression and supervise technical tasks within the team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Pursue or hold tertiary qualifications at Certificate IV level or above in Aeroskills – Mechanical from an accredited institution.
• Hold appropriate aircraft trade qualifications, such as trade papers, apprenticeship, or indentures.
• Possess excellent knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASRs) requirements.
• Maintain a Military Aircraft Maintenance License (MAML) for the applicable aircraft type.
• Fulfil authorisation requirements under 16 Avn Bde DASR 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
• Ability to work a rotating roster schedule.
• Ability to obtain and keep an Australian Defence Security Clearance (details available via relevant government authority).
