AI Value Architect

Job Overview

The AI Value Architect oversees the entire AI value pathway within a specific business segment—such as Revenue and Commercial, Operations and Guest, or Finance, HR and Cargo—ensuring all AI initiatives build and run to generate tangible business value. This leadership position bridges the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating strategic goals into prioritized backlogs and leading an ongoing squad while remaining actively involved in development.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for delivering measurable business outcomes rather than just project execution.
• Maintain single-threaded ownership over the AI value journey for your business area, ensuring clear responsibility and defined outcomes.
• Work with the Business Product Owner to convert business demands into a prioritized AI backlog, making strategic decisions about feature development and prioritization.
• Lead a dedicated squad of Forward Deployed AI Engineers, setting technical direction and managing quality, evaluation, security, and cost considerations.
• Remain hands-on by coding alongside your team, reviewing work, and shaping AI architecture to avoid overhead and maximize build capacity.
• Establish success metrics, feedback mechanisms, and validation processes to demonstrate the AI investment's business impact.
• Manage iterative feedback loops and adopt a systems perspective throughout the delivery lifecycle, balancing reusable AI capabilities with delivery objectives.
• Coordinate AI initiatives across multiple squads and business units to promote synergy, reuse, and prevent redundant efforts within the Hub’s platform.
• Act as the AI leadership counterpart within your business area, building trust, managing expectations on cost and feasibility, and delivering business-owned AI outcomes.
• Mentor and develop your squad and business partners in responsible AI usage, elevating AI fluency and fostering sustainable expertise within a stable team.
• Ensure AI solutions remain human-centric, safeguarding guest and operational interests, and advocate against inappropriate AI applications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven background as a technical product leader who blends deep business insight with hands-on agentic AI engineering.
• Experience engaging with senior business stakeholders to align AI outcomes with business objectives, preferably in the aviation or similarly operations-intensive sectors.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping agentic AI and production software; commitment to maintaining personal coding proficiency and AI fluency.
• Demonstrable single-threaded ownership of product or outcome delivery from initial discovery to production and measurable impact.
• Proven leadership skills in guiding and growing a small technical team, with responsibility for technical architecture, quality control, evaluation, security, and budget management.
• Strong expertise with the agentic AI technology stack, including LLM orchestration, tool integration, retriever-augmented generation (RAG), MCP integrations, AI guardrails, evaluation, and trade-offs involving latency, cost, and reliability.
• Track record of unifying efforts across teams by defining success indicators and converting disparate work into reusable platforms and patterns.
• A business-first and human-centric approach with cultural adaptability; aviation domain experience valued; fluent English communication skills required.
• Typically over 8 years of combined experience in software development and AI, including hands-on work with generative AI and LLMs plus product delivery leadership.
• Educational requirements: Master’s degree preferred or a strong Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields; relevant certifications in cloud AI, GenAI, agentic AI, or MLOps are advantageous.
