AI Solution Architect (all genders)

Overview

In the role of AI Solution Architect, you will design and implement cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions from initial concept through to deployment. You will be responsible for building state-of-the-art MLOps pipelines that ensure models perform at scale while meeting strict compliance and security requirements. Collaborating closely with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders, you will drive forward innovation and contribute through team coaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale enterprise-grade AI and ML solutions.
• Create and enhance MLOps pipelines encompassing CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and model retraining.
• Optimize model performance and orchestrate their operation in production environments.
• Ensure AI applications uphold robustness, fairness, compliance standards, and security.
• Work jointly with data scientists and engineers on data pipelines, feature stores, and model validation processes.
• Select and integrate modern tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
• Help establish standards, best practices, and strategic roadmaps for AI and ML initiatives.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

Required Qualifications

• Several years’ experience in architecting, implementing, and managing AI/ML solutions.
• Strong expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Multi Language Models (MLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), including architecture, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and agent orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Haystack.
• Excellent programming skills in Python and working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks), container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with MLOps tools, including MLflow, deployment strategies, observability, and governance.
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards, including GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001/27701, and TISAX.
• Proven ability to design digital solutions and present effectively to clients.

Essential Skills

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level) and good competency in English.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in software engineering principles (Clean Code practices, design patterns, testing).
• Experience in project or team management methodologies such as Scrum and CRISP-DM.
• Familiarity with local LLM implementations (Llama.cpp, Ollama, vLLM, Unsloth) and machine learning libraries like PyTorch, scikit-learn, and OpenCV.
• Background in developing AI platforms, such as enterprise search systems, test automation, or coding agents.
• Skills in data analytics, including statistics, Tableau, and R.
• Certifications related to AI, ML, cloud computing, or software engineering.
