Job description

About Open Innovation AI

Open Innovation AI is an international technology firm dedicated to delivering advanced solutions that manage AI workloads efficiently. Their main product, the Open Innovation Cluster Manager (OICM), orchestrates complex AI tasks seamlessly across varied infrastructure, supporting multiple GPU and accelerator hardware types. The platform aims to simplify AI workload management, making AI accessible to businesses of all sizes while enhancing operational efficiency, accelerating project timelines, and maximizing returns on AI investments.

Role Summary

We are seeking an AI Engineer to develop the core applied AI features powering our agentic platform. This role involves transforming current successful large language model (LLM) and agent system innovations into reliable, user-ready functionalities. The work includes hands-on engineering, continuous exploration of the evolving AI landscape, experimentation with new methods, and deploying robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, dependable code for applied AI features central to the product.
  • Implement LLM-driven capabilities like agents, orchestration workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tooling, and multi-agent configurations in production environments.
  • Innovate by testing and prototyping new models, techniques, and frameworks to assess their value and integrate the effective ones.
  • Create evaluation tools, benchmarks, and monitoring systems to track the performance and improvement of agents.
  • Ensure continuous operation of AI workloads, automating and scaling the production environment.
  • Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to translate user requirements into actionable specifications.
  • Diagnose, test, and optimize the core product to address performance or correctness issues.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to promote skill development.
  • Stay informed on AI advancements and highlight innovations relevant to the team.

Required Qualifications

  • A computer science or engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through project work.
  • Proficiency in Python or TypeScript programming languages.
  • Experience building and deploying applied AI or machine learning solutions used by real users beyond experimental setups.
  • Hands-on knowledge with LLMs and related tools such as orchestration frameworks, agentic methodologies, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation techniques, with competency in a substantial portion of these areas.
  • Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps practices including deployment, scaling, and production monitoring of models.
  • Strong software design foundations capable of architectural reasoning beyond simple API integration.
  • Comfortable with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively communicate technical reasoning to team members.

Preferred but Not Mandatory

  • Experience with strongly typed programming languages such as Go, Java, or C++.
  • Contributions to open-source projects, publications, or involvement in applied AI research.
  • A consistent habit of reviewing AI research papers and translating insights into practical product enhancements.

Minimum education

Bachelor's Degree
