AI Engineer

Role Overview

We seek a proficient AI Engineer to architect, develop, and deploy intelligent systems with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision (CV). This position emphasizes creating practical AI products like conversational agents, document analysis platforms, image processing solutions, and diverse automation applications. The ideal professional is hands-on, product-centric, and driven to apply AI at scale to solve business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine AI models spanning multiple areas such as NLP (including text understanding, chatbots, document processing), LLM applications (Retrieval-Augmented Generation and agent frameworks), and Computer Vision tasks (object detection, OCR, video analytics).
• Customize and fine-tune pre-trained models to meet unique domain needs, and investigate innovative architectures and techniques aimed at improving model effectiveness.
• Collect, preprocess, and curate datasets tailored for NLP and CV assignments, employing data augmentation methods for text and image data and ensuring data quality and relevance for training and assessment.
• Deploy AI models into production environments, managing integration efforts, and continuously monitor and optimize models to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with product development, engineering, and business units to deliver AI-powered solutions, contribute to system architecture choices, and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in LLMs, NLP, and Computer Vision domains, while evaluating and adopting new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to encourage innovation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Minimum two years of AI/ML engineering experience, with focus areas including NLP, LLMs, and Computer Vision.
• Practical expertise in designing, building, and deploying AI solutions usable in real-world scenarios, especially involving multimodal AI integrating text and images.
• Experience working with vector database technologies such as FAISS, Milvus, or Pinecone and real-time inference systems.
• Basic proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Technical Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Python programming and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Strong grasp of machine learning concepts, neural network architectures, deep learning, and methods for model optimization.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs including GPT, LLaMA, Mistral, involving prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers ecosystem, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and optionally NLP libraries like spaCy and NLTK.
• Competence in computer vision including image processing and CV model development using OpenCV and torchvision libraries; acquainted with object detection, classification, OCR, and segmentation tasks.
• Deployment expertise including serving models via FastAPI, NVIDIA Triton and using monitoring/observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus; knowledgeable in deploying AI models on cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
