About the Role

Our client, a dynamic international technology group, is advancing its AI transformation to change how enterprise users engage with business software by integrating intelligent features that understand intent, manage tasks, and automate intricate workflows. They are building a Singapore-based AI engineering team to bridge visionary product ideas with technical execution, architecting next-generation AI systems and delivering production-ready solutions for a global enterprise clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Management to assess new ideas, verify technical feasibility, and translate business goals into scalable engineering solutions.
• Beyond implementation, establish architectural standards and develop a resilient AI platform to accelerate future product development.
• Set architecture and engineering benchmarks for smart application features within a leading enterprise product.
• Create modular AI services capable of sophisticated planning, context comprehension, memory handling, integration with external systems, and coordinated operation across multiple AI models.
• Lead technical decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial design and testing to deployment, optimization, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
• Enhance model quality, responsiveness, cost efficiency, scalability, and production stability.
• Develop reusable AI components, frameworks, and internal tools to boost productivity across various teams.
• Mentor engineers technically and promote best practices including prompt engineering, retrieval techniques, model evaluation, testing, and AI governance.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, product, UX, and security teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI features that satisfy performance, compliance, and data protection standards.
• Stay abreast of AI advancements and identify technologies to reinforce the company’s long-term product vision.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related technical fields; advanced degrees are advantageous.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering with hands-on involvement delivering AI or machine learning production systems.
• Proven skills in developing applications using modern large language models (LLMs), including retrieval-based approaches, prompt tuning, AI agent frameworks, tool integrations, and orchestration mechanisms.
• Experience in selecting, assessing, adapting, and optimizing AI models considering accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Track record of successfully launching enterprise software from concept to production, preferably in cloud or SaaS environments.
• Strong architectural abilities to design secure, extensible, and scalable distributed systems.
• Problem-solving mindset coupled with decisiveness in fast-changing environments, and capacity to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Background in enterprise productivity tools, AI assistants, workflow automation, or intelligent business applications is required.
