Job description
About The Role
Alignerr is collaborating with top AI research laboratories to develop smarter, more dependable artificial intelligence systems. We are seeking skilled computer engineers to participate as AI Data Trainers, where you will rigorously test advanced language models on technical computer engineering subjects, uncover their limitations, and influence the evolution of AI reasoning in hardware and systems domains.
This unique position offers the flexibility of a remote freelance role with substantial impact.
What You'll Do
- Develop intricate engineering challenges involving topics such as RISC-V and ARM architectures, FPGA programming, memory management, and hardware-software co-design.
- Create detailed, stepwise technical solutions, including assembly language code, hardware description language segments (Verilog/VHDL), and architectural schematics, serving as precise authoritative references for AI learning.
- Review and validate AI-generated content—such as C/C++ programs, logic gate schematics, and operating system kernels—to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry norms.
- Enhance AI model reasoning by pinpointing errors like race conditions, memory leaks, and improper timing constraints, providing structured critiques to improve performance.
Who You Are
- Possessing or pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science with a hardware emphasis, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in fundamental areas like Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems.
- Clear and precise communicator capable of articulating complex hardware and low-level software concepts in well-organized written formats.
- Meticulous with attention to detail when handling bit-level manipulations, clock timing considerations, and technical documentation.
- No previous AI experience is necessary; your deep engineering knowledge is the primary qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with data annotation, quality assessment, or evaluation processes related to AI.
- Familiarity with engineering software including MATLAB, SolidWorks, or ANSYS.
- Additional background in hardware security, networking, distributed computing, or Internet of Things technologies.
Why Join Us
- Collaborate directly with innovative AI models from leading research institutions.
- Enjoy a fully remote, asynchronous work environment with flexible scheduling.
- Engage in intellectually rewarding freelance work with autonomy.
- Join a global collective of domain experts influencing the advancement of artificial intelligence.
- Potential for continued engagement and contract extensions.
