About the Role
Join The Clorox Company as a senior AI and Data Security Engineer where you will play a critical role in shaping and securing the enterprise's AI and data environment. This position blends strategic foresight, technical mastery, and operational control to implement and expand advanced security mechanisms across application security, data protections, and Generative AI platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and management of enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls encompassing endpoints, email, collaboration tools, cloud, and SaaS environments.
- Oversee Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) functionalities, including tasks such as data discovery, classification, exposure analysis, and remediation prioritization.
- Advise on data governance matters including access, sharing policies, data retention, encryption strategies, and key management.
- Collaborate with Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud, and data teams to enforce identity-driven data protection mechanisms.
- Continuously monitor and refine data security postures, tune protective controls, and drive enhancements in security processes.
- Support the execution of security assessments on GenAI platforms like Microsoft Copilot, AI Foundry, and Vertex AI, while acquiring expertise in AI-specific risk controls such as data boundary enforcement and prevention of data oversharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent field or relevant experience.
- 7 to 10+ years of professional experience in application security, data security, cloud security, or AI security.
- Extensive hands-on experience with application and API security frameworks (including OWASP Top 10), cloud and SaaS security architectures, data protection methodologies, DLP, DSPM, and encryption technologies.
- Proven expertise in securing Generative AI environments and sophisticated data analytics platforms.
- Strong knowledge of identity, access control, and governance frameworks.
- Advanced communication skills capable of producing insights and documentation suitable for executive audiences.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Experience with Microsoft Purview including DLP, Information Protection, and DSPM.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Google Cloud Platform Vertex AI.
- Familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
- Exposure to DSPM tools or platforms for large-scale data discovery.
- Professional certifications like CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500, or SC-400 are a plus.
