Job Overview

The AI & Data Engineer specializing in Central Bank Reporting System (CBRS) is tasked with architecting, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions to ensure precise, compliant, and streamlined regulatory reporting aligned with SAMA requirements. This role is pivotal in the CBRS delivery team, managing ETL workflows, PL/SQL programming, calculation engines, validation and reconciliation logic, as well as reporting functionalities to support banking implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, enhance, and sustain CBRS application elements including ETL pipelines, reporting modules, and regulatory data integrations.
  • Author and optimize PL/SQL database programs such as procedures, packages, and functions tailored to CBRS requirements.
  • Develop calculation, validation, reconciliation, and aggregation logic pertinent to RMS, Non-RMS, and API-based regulatory reporting.
  • Guarantee data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance throughout reporting processes.
  • Manage source-to-target data mappings and transformations for regulatory reporting integration.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve issues arising during system integration testing, user acceptance testing, production support, and post-launch phases.
  • Collaborate with business, compliance, risk, and technical teams to convert regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Participate in testing support, deployment schedules, release management, and operational support functions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical recommendations to peers and development teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including design blueprints, mapping schemas, deployment manuals, and support documents.
  • Engage in sprint planning, estimation exercises, technical reviews, and governance to ensure quality delivery.
  • Adhere to development standards, coding best practices, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvements aimed at enhancing platform performance, report accuracy, and delivery efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Certifications in Data Engineering, Database Development, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Systems are advantageous.
  • At least three years' experience in data engineering, data development, regulatory reporting systems, or banking technology implementations.
  • Proven track record in implementing, enhancing, or supporting CBRS projects.
  • Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting frameworks within banking, finance, or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data integration and agile software delivery methods, including production support.

Technical Expertise Required

  • Advanced CBRS domain knowledge for Central Bank reporting.
  • ETL design, development, and maintenance skills.
  • Advanced PL/SQL programming and SQL performance tuning.
  • Experienced in data modeling and architecture principles.
  • Proficient in source-to-target data mapping for regulatory systems.
  • Expertise in compliance with SAMA reporting guidelines.
  • Knowledge of RMS and Non-RMS reporting processes.
  • Competency in API-driven regulatory reporting methods.
  • Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and aggregation frameworks.
  • Skills in analytics and reporting development with a focus on data quality control and monitoring.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Familiar with version control, release management, and SDLC best practices.
  • Support for various testing phases including SIT, UAT, and live production environments.
