Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Data Annotator based in Jordan with a fresh graduate to up to 2 years of experience. This position serves as an interface between linguistic expertise and AI/software implementation. Your daily duties will revolve around Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) tasks targeting Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) dialects, specifically Emirati and Saudi accents. You will also manage priority labeling for large language models (LLMs), assess prompt efficacy, and collaborate closely with AI research engineers to ensure the quality of datasets and model outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily speech data transcription, auditing, and labeling, concentrating on GCC spoken dialects including Emirati and Saudi variants.
- Perform high-priority annotation tasks related to LLMs, including label application, prompt testing, response evaluation, and conversation auditing post-interaction.
- Continuously monitor dataset quality by executing quality assurance procedures and documenting edge cases affecting software and models.
- Collaborate with AI Research Engineers to enhance annotation protocols, contribute to improved model accuracy, and participate in testing new annotation tools.
Candidate Profile
- Experience ranging from fresh graduates to individuals with up to 1–2 years in data annotation, AI operations, linguistic quality assurance, or technical support roles.
- Strong linguistic intuition paired with in-depth knowledge and understanding of GCC regional accents, focusing on Emirati and Saudi dialects.
- Basic grasp of artificial intelligence concepts such as ASR, large language models, and prompt engineering, with proficiency in utilizing contemporary software and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, demonstrated through written and verbal assessments.
- Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to upholding precise standards in data accuracy.
